Susan Anderson exemplifies our school’s “Better every day” motto through exceptional leadership, dedication and impact. She stabilized the science department during major transitions, supported colleagues and maintained high-quality instruction across multiple subjects. A mentor on campus and nationwide, she also trains biology teachers across Chesterfield County Public Schools. This year, she earned the prestigious RISE Award from the Virginia Association of Science Teachers. In her rigorous, inclusive classroom, students feel safe, supported and valued. Her work on the school improvement plan helped the department exceed goals and raise SOL pass rates. Susan continually demonstrates innovation, empathy and leadership.
