It's our first week of school for the 2025-26 school year. We're excited to welcome you and 64,000 students back to classes.
Grades 1-5, 6 and 9 begin Monday, Aug. 18
Grades 7-8, 10-12 begin Tuesday, Aug. 19
Prekindergarten and kindergarten students start on different days:
Some students attend Aug. 18-19; others attend Aug. 20-21.
Schools assign students to specific days to allow students to become more familiar with their new surroundings in a smaller classroom setting.
Starting Aug. 22, all prekindergarten and kindergarten students attend daily.

Families can visit the CCPS back-to-school hub for transportation information, Chromebook details, fee payments, supply lists and more.
Have a student who is ready to start school? Families can still register their little ones for kindergarten.

Carver Academy will be holding open gym for any current students interested in playing girls volleyball this fall. Open gym will start on Monday August 4th. Open gym dates will be Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month of August from 3:00 to 5:00 PM .

Interested in playing sports at Carver Academy? Get started by getting logged into Healthy Roster. Healthy Roster and other important forms are accessible via the provided QR codes on the graphic. Healthy Roster is our athletic department's HIPAA-compliant electronic medical records system, facilitating injury tracking, treatment documentation, and streamlined communication among coaches, parents, and athletes.

- Feb. 25: “Screenagers: Elementary School Edition” about the impact of screen time
Carver Academy is offering free personalized "Senior Shout-Outs" in the Yearbook. This is a special way to celebrate your student's achievements and create a lasting memory. Submissions due by Monday 2/10.

Tonight's boys' basketball game at Charles City have been postponed due to Charles City County's school cancelation. Carver basketball will now practice after school this afternoon, January 23rd.
The game has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 13th at Charles City High School.
This is a reminder that tonight's boys basketball game against Middlesex will be varsity only. There is no JV game tonight. The boy's varsity game is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM.
Carver Basketball makeup games update:
The makeup game against Mathews originally scheduled for January 7th has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 10th. (home game)
The makeup game against King and Queen originally scheduled for January 9th has been rescheduled to Friday January 31st. (SENIOR NIGHT 2025)
Carver Basketball Update for the week of January 21st through the 24th:
Tuesday January 21st will be a varsity boys basketball game only against Middlesex. Game time is set for 6:30 PM.
The Girls basketball program is done for the season due to lack of available players. The rest of the schedule has been cancelled.
This an update for Carver Academy Athletics:
There will be NO home girls basketball game today, Tuesday, January 14th.
Boys basketball will be traveling to King William this evening for a Varsity only game. No junior varsity game tonight. The boys varsity game time is set for 6:00 PM at King William High School.
The Carver Academy basketball games scheduled for this evening, 1/9/25, have been postponed. A make-up date will be posted in the near future. There will be no home game at Carver tonight. Basketball and cheer will practice after school this afternoon!

When to expect first report cards for 2024-25
The first nine weeks of this school year ended Oct. 23 for students at every school except Bellwood Elementary, which follows a year-round calendar. On Nov. 8, printed report cards will be issued to students and digital report cards will be posted to ParentVUE at every school except Bellwood Elementary (where report cards were issued Oct. 16).
